LOUISVILLE, KY — At a time when many production companies are scaling back, Chronicle Cinema is investing in the future. The Louisville-based production company has completed the acquisition of Vidionix and announced a planned $6.5 million investment over the next five years signaling a long-term commitment to growth, innovation, and the region’s creative economy.

Vidionix, founded in Southern Indiana and known for its expertise in content creation and complex live-event production, joins Chronicle Cinema as part of an expanded team built to meet growing demand for premium-quality, fast-turn content across business, technology, film, and live events. This acquisition will solidify the jobs currently supported by the two companies and pave the way for an expanding workforce, primarily in the Kentuckiana area.
“This is a strategic decision to bet on the Louisville community and its high-skilled, creative talent,” said Zach Meiners, Founder and Creative Director of Chronicle Cinema. “Our clients across the U.S. and internationally rely on our teams and our talents. Our tech clients, including Meta, Andreessen Horowitz, and HP give us a unique perspective on the changing tech landscape. As AI and emerging technologies continue to revolutionize production, our combined teams will allow us to bring industry-leading innovation to the forefront.”
The acquisition also represents a strategic investment in the Louisville and Southern Indiana creative community. As part of the deal, Chronicle Cinema renovated Vidionix’s Jeffersonville, Indiana facility into Studio C, a newly expanded creative hub now featuring a state-of-the-art LED wall for virtual production, a main production studio, and a dedicated podcast studio.
Kentucky’s film production tax credits have supersized demand for visual productions that require state-of-the-art facilities, equipment, and talent. We are now the first production company in this region with a versatile 4K LED wall to meet the booming demand for feature films, music videos and multi-platform corporate content.
Former Vidionix Managing Partner Tommy Nolan has joined Chronicle Cinema’s leadership team through the acquisition. “Together, we’ve created a stronger, more future-ready organization,” said Nolan. “Chronicle brings expanded creative capabilities and scale, while Vidionix contributes deep live-production expertise and high-visibility projects. The result is a team positioned for what’s next.”
While the Vidionix name will sunset, its people, expertise, and production philosophy will continue as an integral part of Chronicle Cinema. To mark the next chapter, Chronicle Cinema will host an open house at its newly expanded Studio C on February 26, 2026, featuring a live demonstration of the studio’s LED wall and expanded production capabilities.
